I am a violinist & a song writer (Mostly songs with lyrics), I also play the piano some but use it mainly as a catalyst to write piano accompaniments...... (Along with being a devoted mother & wife & follower of Jesus Christ.) I enjoy playing and writing music in a variety of generas of music styles, but most of what I write is spiritually based, even more so since my death experience. I also strive to have my lyrics center around Christ because I was lovingly reprimanded for not spreading the word & love of Jesus enough.. & given specific direction to do so through my music and singing, even told to start singing which was out of my comfort zone at the time.. (I don't have the best voice..  but it will do at times .. especially great for bluegrass!)

Slowly but surely I hope to have them all recorded & to turn them into religious videos & enter them in on Youtube.. For right now I only have two of them officially recorded.. but I do have sheet music for all of my songs.. although a few are without piano accompaniments right now..

For right now for some of the songs since my death experience I am just going to enter in the melodies & leave it up to you to add a piano or guitar accompaniment or let ur whole band or even choir join in.. but if you desire to put forth any recordings for profit or paid performances please first contact me... Plus if possible I would like to attend them!..

Here are some of my favorite spiritual songs from Youtube... Since my death experience it is hard for me to enjoy anything but spiritually based music and songs... But I do enjoy uplifting wholesome music from all over the world.. and of course am moved by much classical repertoire... You must be so careful.. because there are so many modern ( even or older ) songs that God's spirit cannot be with you: (I am still working on my song list)

I love Negro Spirituals:

I have always been so moved by negro spirituals and also the most unique and beautiful voices that these gifted souls sing them with.. They sing them with all of their soul possible.. and their emotional interpretations shows to me that they are very close indeed to our Savior.. Which are two blessing that came out of slavery in a very sad roundabout way.. The knowledge of our Savior, Jesus and their hearts growing close to Him and God as they had to endure such horrific times and struggles.. ...

This morning I was listening to our classical station's saturday morning program which is called "On Stage" which covers so many highlights, histories and thoughts about the lives of classic performers past and present  and which shares vignettes of incredible and notable performances, vintage or modern from the performing stages of broadway to opera and more.. It is produced and presented by Michael Ballam, who himself has had a wonderful career in opera with over 600 performances and he is such an inspiring speaker and commentator and on top of it..  who also can sing most heavenly as he plays along beautifully on the piano.. a very gifted man) http://www.michaelballam.com/bio/index.htm (following previewing this page click on his radio page and it will show you all of his awesome radio shows available and scroll down to Marian Anderson.. Though it shows '05 his programs endure any time and he is still coming up with more.. Review his other pages) and on his program this morning he was highlighting the most incredible life and career of Marian Anderson... a most awesome women of which I hope you can hear about by Michael's onstage program himself.. (So ask your classical station to begin to sponsor his program if they haven't already.. They are most incredible. I rarely miss them..)

So here are a couple of beautiful spirituals from the most wonderful Marian Anderson who has now sadly passed on.. Here is a version when her voice was at its best and then I will share one with you near the end of her life.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V9ZnPB3InY Elege by Massenett (Which is not a spiritual but this shows her beautiful voice at a younger age and shows you a song I want to learn on my violin also.. that is why I am sharing it with you..) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJoDR704-BA&feature=related    My Lord What a Morning (Negro spiritual)
This one was produced in her later years.. and shows her joy of the Lord: My Lord, King Jesus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn4o4QF-HWc&feature=related

**So much of classical music is inspiring and I feel has God's spirit with it... (There is some that does not have his spirit..) There is a great wonderful thing that happens when you are choosing to listen to classical music or when you attend a classical program or a wonderful live symphony.. It can be so wonderfully and overwhelming inspiring and uplifting .. and something that God would want you to experience.. or be a part of..
I would hope and pray that you would listen to classical music more.. even if you don't think you like it.. it will grow on you.. Satan strives to keep us from quality uplifting classical music.. Where much of it is inspired of God.. and working through others with the incredible talents that He has given them..
Learning an instrument with classical music can give you much brainpower and bring wonderful things into your life that you might otherwise ever experience.. .. (As with any genre of music you do have to be selective at times what songs you choose to put your precious time to.. You want to choose ones that will be uplifting to your soul.. and that God's spirit can be with you. ) .. My violin and involvement with learning the violin.. studying under incredible teachers.. performing often in church.. performing in the Handel's Messiah many Christmases... preparing and putting on religious or uplifting programs as a teacher... performing my own religious songs and others ... being involved in school orchestras, youth symphonies and following chamber group in Italy, has all brought such incredible times and opportunities into my life and has helped me stay on the straight and narrow road .. associating with great quality friends and people with higher standards.. My violin was a gift from my parents but most of all a glorious gift from my heavenly Father! and I am so thankful to God for bringing it into my life and for the many blessings that it has brought into my life..
(Go to my page on JesusHelpMeRazeaFamily and I will share more with you on bringing good music into your life and the life of your children's.)

My Poetry for Jesus:

My Guiding Light Forever  (c)
  by Mae Wagenen

My Lord, Jesus…. No sweeter name!….
On earth to dwell …. Our Savior came…..

He showed the way….. He is our light…
His light shines forth… forever bright….

Though satan strives… to darken our path…
And reign on earth…. in hatred and wrath…

I know if I turn…. To my Savior dear….
His light will guide me… and ever be near…

Then will come that day!  That glorious, wondrous day…

God’s Loving Eyes Oversee Us All

By Mae Wagenen (c)

As our eyes gaze down the road of life..
At times we choose to overlook God’s beauty and choose to see the strife…
There may be times our eyes become blind..
As we let clouds of darkness enter within our mind…

We may carry on from day to day.. With impaired vision focused in a selfish way…
Our eyes may be entranced on material things, shopping ever about….
Ignoring the hungry and the poor, eyes filled with fear and doubt..
Or we may scurry past a drunken man.. Not seeing his great worth..
Not realizing we are all God’s children.. Children of Heavenly birth…
We might miss the majestic beauty of a glorious pink sunset…
wasting away our precious  time in a bar with a drink or cigarette…
We may walk beside red roses.. Seeing only prickly thorns..
Or pass by the treasure of a baby.. Just days newly born…
Seeing only worldly riches… seeing life through worldly eyes…
passing by God’s greatest treasures which money cannot buy…
_________________________________________________________________________________________-__
God has omniscient eyes… loving eyes that watch upon us all…
but He can only bless our eyes.. If they see beyond this earthly wall…
If only they will turn and glance .. Upward to heaven above….
To see His endless universe… filled with beauty and awesome love…
If all could see with eyes such as His… we’d be living on earth in heavenly bliss..
We would see no envy.. No hate.. And no strife… while we are in this earthly life..
But only red roses…. Sweet babies and sunshine… Heavenly treasures ..and His love would all be mine…
Mine and yours… and our eyes would see as one…
Falling upon the wondrous sight of God’s only begotten … beloved Son…
______________________________________________________________________________________
I see God’s eyes filled with tears of sorrow.. For those eyes sidetracked by worldly whim..
But tears of joy are replaced in His eyes… for those whose eyes have turned to him…

                     My Angel Mother
by Mae Wagenen (c)
By her second child of eight (She raised nine) by Mae  Wagenen (Who learned alot helping her by her side..)

A mother the Lord has given me…. To help me through this life you see..

She’s been there through my joys and strife … while I am in my earthly life….
She freely gave with all her heart… her time, her talents she did impart…
She taught me lessons of endless worth…. Of love, of wisdom, of spiritual birth…
She taught me her talents of knitting and cooking.. of canning, of gardening,of                                                                                                                                         stitchery hooking.
She taught me to create and do with what I had…Turning old things into new.. Making happy                                                                                                                                                              out of sad
She taught me to love life..To laugh and to smile…To do your very best… to go the extra mile.. She taught me great lessons of endless giving… service to others was her daily living…
She taught me to follow that Lord up above…. To live His gospel with service and love…
But the greatest lesson she ever taught… was that of enduring the trials she fought…
With neverending laundry cooking and dishes, she ever served her family and put aside                                                                                                                                                       her wishes
Through each child’s joy and each child’s fear… she pressed ever onward year after year…
She never gave up , but was always close by…. Cheering us on or crying with our cry…
And then her final cross (cancer) she bravely endured and finished her mission, her calling                                                                                                                                              .              ensured
And now has come that glorious day, the Lord will hold her close and say:…
“Enter My kingdom, your loved ones are here.. Those whom you’ve cherished and held ever dear…
A mansion stands waiting for this heavenly queen.. A palace that earth life has never once                                                                                                                                         .     .            seen…
And so my dear mother … I’ll say good bye… I’ll miss you so much and some days I’ll cry..
But deep within.. My sad soul rejoices!  “Families are Forever” speak Heavenly voices…
So my eternal mother.. I want to let you know.. A part of you is with me..
                                                I’ll always love you so….
And then will come that happy day that we will once more meet each other..
And I’ll greet you with a loving hug,  My dear forever mother..
Love always and forever.. Your daughter Mae..

MY DADDY YOU TAUGHT ME   (c)   Written by his daughter: Mae Wagenen
with great love to my father; William  on Father's Day 2000

My daddy you've taught me many things, To love the beauty that nature brings:

The towering mountains standing bold....through summer's heat and winter's cold...
With pine trees pointing to endless sky... dotted with cotton-white clouds rolling by....
With flowers that sprinkle the meadow so green, with deep blues & crimson& yellow's bright sheen
With sparkling waters so crystal clear.... all nature sings out that God was here....

My daddy you've taught me many things.... To love the beauty that knowledge brings:

To never stop learning, but ever press on... from morn until eve'n til each day is gone...
To share what I've learned everyday with another....taking his hand I'll reach out to my brother....
That all of the knowledge in this life I gain.... will be with me forever and always remain....
For I'm on the path to become more like God .. and with every step I’ll hold firm to the rod...

My daddy you've taught me many things....To love the beauty that music brings...

From heavenly choirs of sacred hymn... I find my soul buoyed up from sin...
From frolicking symphony's happy sound... I lift low spirits high off the ground...
From marching bands with freedom's song... my love of country grows ever strong...
And from the strings of my own violin... I bring joy to others felt deeply within....

My daddy you've taught me many things... To love the beauty the gospel brings...

To love the Lord with all of my heart.... to those in need I should impart...
To live the commandments and follow each one.... pay tithing and whisper "Thy will be done."
To read the scriptures day and night .... to pray to the Lord with all of my might....
To remember our loved ones from days of yor, through genealogy we open their door....

My daddy you've tight me many things... to love the beauty a family brings:

A mother, a father, ever working together.. through hard times and happy, your ties never sever…
Through each child's joy and each child's fear... you pressed ever onward year after year...
You never gave up ... you were always close by.. cheering us on or crying with our cry...
How I love you my daddy and pray that you'll be... with me forever and our family!!

I've been so blessed to have you as a father!! loves from your daughter Mae...

A Love Letter Sent from Heaven Above
(c)  (to my forever sweetheart if I were to go before him or even if I don‘t  I want him to read it anytime… because he means so much to me!!!)
                                                 Written by Mae Wagenen
(Dedicated to my dear husband that I have ever been faithfully devoted to and loved every year of our marriage, (Never having an inkling of romantic feelings towards anyother man) which from the beginning was sealed for, not just time, but for eternity in God‘s holy temple.** Please have a sister in our ward read it (with deep feeling) to my husband at my funeral should I pass beyond the veil before him. )

My dearly beloved… we are sealed as one through the Lord…
You may weep and think me gone….. The grief piercing as a sword….

But, no…. my precious one….
Many a time be it God’s will…. I will dwell within they presence still……

I will come to your side with a whisper in your mind….
With words that stir your very soul….. And then you will find…

That your heart will swell with an overwhelming love….
And at that moment you will know that it is my love coming from above……

I will still wipe a tear from your reddened cheek….
And bear you up when you are weak…. You will not be left alone…

Yes…. My sweetness over all things sweet…. And my dearest over all things dear…
I will dwell within they presence still… I will be ever near…..

And when I’m not… I will dwell with our God… who still has need of me…
And I will walk with my Savior hand in hand… who suffered to make me free…..

And my giving hands that gave on earth….. And heart that served in many  a ward…….
Will still be giving endlessly… to edify our Lord….

For life beyond has purpose still….. So I will continue to do God’s will…..
                             Our life has purpose still….
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now my beloved, my precious one… my earthly and heavenly Godly son…
God our father has been preparing us a mansion… A castle from on high…
And I will labour to finish it before you join me by and by…..

Within it I’ll place the most glorious art… painted by angels’ hands…
And have a grand, grand piano… the grandest of the grand…

Then I will play on my violin… a love song just for you….
I will play it with all of my heart… to show I am ever true….

Music of love… will fill these beautiful walls….
And resonate throughout the halls…     When you are by my side…

Then out to the garden …. We’ll step with great care… So you can see my handiwork there….
The most beautiful garden you ever did see…
I’ll pick you a rose… and kiss your lips most tenderly…

And our doggy from past and kitty so sweet will greet us happily at our feet…

And life will be heaven with you by my side…
And God’s love and light will ever reside….

With you in my arms.. My forever love…. My forever dear…
Don’t ever forget me… I will ever be near…. My beloved… my precious…. Eternal, forever love and dearest of  dears …. Do not fear…..

We will  once again meet… at Jesus’ feet… until then… turn to Him in all you do and He will ever be with you….
Never give up but endure to the end…  and I will be waiting in paradise, just around the bend..
    Love always and  forever….

Your dearest companion, Love and best friend….

** I felt inspired to write this song the night that I went to a fireside by JoAnne Hamilton based on Pornography.. One of the subjects that she spoke of was how pornography can effect ones  mind, especially children for the worse and she spoke of the proven mental dangers of pornography and how addictive it can become even if it is looking at a woman with a very low neckline of partially covered bumb.. (Many argue that modesty is not a problem or wrong.. but it is even a form of mild pornography and has has been the beginning of luring many into very terrible situations or addictions or even rape & murder.. but the saddest is when she spoke of the sexual abuse and exploitation of children caught up in the most evil world of pornography.... It brings in millions of dollars around the world and it is most always for the money..  it deteriorates it's victims and those who are perusing it & those who are abducted for sexual purposes .. and those who are raped and sexually abused.. but the very saddest is the sufferings of the little children and then the young girls and boys.. It is atrocious and heartsickening to think of how many innocent souls have had to suffer!!  and in the middle of the night I awoke with this song just flowing from my brain without very little hesitation and revamping.. I know this song was inspired from my Savior, Jesus who loves each one of us so dearly.. but especially the sweet little innocent babies & children that he needs us to stand up for and be His voice and their voice.. This song is found on JoAnn's website: For the Strength of Families..

Protect the Children  (c)
by Mae Wagenen

Protect the children:
They come to us in purity… into a world less day than night…
A world filled with more wrongs than rights… a world turning away from God and values that our countries fought and died for..

Protect the Children:
Please do not fill their precious minds.. with violence or with twisted crimes.. that beat upon their tender hearts … and pierce their gentle souls with firey darts..

They deserve a world… far better than the one men has created…
A world filled with His light ..  and not the darkness of the night where evil minds have sought to turn wrongs into rights..     A world of night…

They deserve a world..   The world that God above them has created..   A world filled with His light..  With pure uplifting thoughts and sights that smother out the darkness of the night… a world of light…

Protect the Children:
Please let them have a childhood… filled with things a child …
should enjoy and love ..  Gifts from above…
The beauties of the fallen snow… bright flowers lined up in a row..  the feel of rain upon their face..  Please make their world a better place to live in..    To live in..

They deserve a world… far better than the one men has created…
A world filled with His light ..  and not the darkness of the night where evil minds have sought to turn wrongs into rights..     A world of night…

They deserve a world..   The world that God above them has created..   A world filled with His light..  With pure uplifting thoughts and sights that smother out the darkness of the night…

Protect the children..    Stand up for their rights…  and guide them to the light….

    * Now I want to also share a poem that I wrote about my Swedish ancestors and genealogy:
Swedish Grams of Golden Brow: (c)
(Written by Mae Wagenen in memory of my dear Swedish Grandmothers of the past.. This poem mostly speaks of my great, greatgrandmother Stina Lisa Ericsdotter, (Her nick name became Danna.) and her daughter Ellen, but I especially dedicated it to my dear gram (Ellen‘s daughter): Isabella Ingeborge, who spoke Swedish and was 100% Swedish decent. I wrote this right after my husband and I made a trip to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. I picked up a doll to take as a souvenir at one shop and later found out that out of all the dolls marked with their different provinces I picked it was the one from Dolarna where this dear great great gram Stina was born. It was not a coincidence. I also love horses and so I picked up a Dolarnahest not even realizing what province it was from either.. My grandma was elated when she found out.. )

(Speaking to my daughter Beverly when she was very young:)
My darling child with golden hair.. With eyes so bright and skin so fair..
I pull out pictures of the past .. Sweet grandmamas of century last..
Within your face I see them now.. Your Swedish grams of golden brow..

Listen on, I’ll tell you what I know.. Of these fair woman with Sweden’s glow….
While young to school they went to learn.. Each day for knowledge their minds did yearn..
They played with dolls and games and toys… They loved these also .. Why they even liked boys…
Dancing and singing.. Sweet music, too… They loved this all just as me and you…

They loved to sew and create with their hands… traditional dress of their native lands…
They loved to cook their Swedish cakes… pies and breads they kneaded and baked..
And as they married and mothers became…..The never sought for fortune nor fame…
But labored long and busy each day… a life of idleness was not their way…
And calling their little ones by their side… They loved them, taught them and did guide..

They loved the Lord with all their hearts… to those in need they did impart..
They read the scriptures day and night… and served the Lord with all their might…
They loved their land with rolling hill… filled with pines and lakes so still..
They loved their farmlands golden grain… with fertile earth fed by the rain…

One day Christina had to leave it all… On to America was the call…
Land of the free… home of the brave… a promised land that God did save…
It tore her heart in half to leave.. For her dear Sweden she would ever grieve…
So the Lord sent her forward ever on.. Til Montana she saw at the light of dawn..
Filled with pines and lakes so still…. With farmlands golden on rolling hill…
A part of Sweden twinkled within… as she thought“This is the land I’ll now begin.”

Now two grandmas past have followed her all filled with hearts of Swedish lure…
And in your face I see them now… your Swedish grams of golden brow..

How sad t’would be if we forgot.. Our great grandmas that Sweden brought…
Or any ancestor of this earth… and the countries of their birth…
Tis much to learn from them of old …. Lessons of worth far above gold..
Heed their good and from their evil sail …. And happy they will be behind the hidden veil..

My Precious Girl... A Divine Daughter of Heavenly Father...(c) by Nola VanWagenen ( I wrote this to my daughter her last year of High School..)

Time flys by.. At times it seems to go forever on…
But then we turn around one day and ask…
           “Where has time gone???”
There you were! A beautiful babe within my arms!!
And as you grew… How I loved to experience your little girl charms!…
But now time has set in front of me..
A beautiful young woman.. And I begin to see…
How I will cherish memories of my precious girl..
Her endless smiles.. Her loving hugs… her giving heart…
She is as a priceless pearl…
A pearl that is being polished with each new day…
           Through embracing knowledge.. Developing talents…
And overcoming trials that may come her way…
I’ve guided and prompted and taught for so long..
But now more than ever she will stand on her own…
Oh, how I pray she will know she is not alone!!
For she holds all we taught her deeply within…
And we and the Lord will stand by her…
Whenever she will but turn to Him….
If she will always remember she is a daughter of God… and ever hold firm to the iron rod…
Then will come that glorious day…
The Lord will  hold her close and say:
“You’ve served Me well my precious, faithful girl..
You’ve become as a radiant… priceless pearl…”
Enter into my kingdom.. Your loved ones are here..
Those that you’ve cherished and held ever dear…
Come into my care.. Joy and love is all here to give..
Leave all your burdens and dwell with Me to live.”
And all will be well and happy there..
And we will be blessed under God’s care..
What joy shall we have there… in family and friends and Heavenly Hosts..
And dwelling with God, His Son, Jehovah and the Holy Ghost....

** I was so blessed to have a mother and father that loved camping and realizing the importance of having their children (all nine of us) experience God through his most glorious, beautiful, incredible creations… These were memories that I will never forget…
Every time I go outside I’m blessed to see the beauty of nature and Within my home I have things of nature (Natural or copied by man) that reminds me of the glorious creations  of God… and of course Every time I go outside I’m blessed to see the natural beauty of nature:
I actually wrote this one middle of the night that I went outside and just laid down on the grass and looked up into the stars.. Which were not as many because a glowing yellow half moon was shinning to the right of me…. It just so inspired me to write this song that the melody along with the words just started flowing and I realized I had better go grab my pen and paper… .. But before I wrote it I also began to remember an experience from about a month before where I looked at a mountain and saw a large eagle fly across.. And God’s spirit hit me so powerful that my breath was taken away… as a rainbow appeared… in the darkened sky as the sun opened up and shown up it.... And it was truly heavenly..

God is Here: His Presence Everywhere (c)  by Mae Wagenen

Vs. 1: I gaze…. upon a rainbow… the spirit fills my soul…
The mountains point towards heaven…  Majestic, brave and bold….
An eagle soars above me… each creature knows God’s name….
Behold…. the crystal waters… all life they do sustain…

Chorus:  All nature… shouts out to me … in silence that God was here… His voice spoke out..
The earth obeyed… His beauty and His love displayed… that God is Here..
He’s every where… His presence…..  caresses… each and every one of His creations…
Yes.. God is Here………

Vs. 2: The sunshine spills upon the world to emulate His light….
The moon then glows from up above to bring the sleep of night…
The darkness spreads… the stars appear… a universe unfolds…
Creations without number…. With beauty above gold….

Chorus: His voice spoke forth… with love displayed… the universe… hears and obeys….
Yes… God is here…. His presence  every where….
Each creation from above… shouts out His great and glorious love.. That God is here…
His presence everywhere… Yes… God is here……

Here is words to a song that I wrote around Thanksgiving time.. though it could apply to any time of the year.. Every day of our life we should be giving Thanks to our God and Savior..  Make a list of all of the many blessings that God has given you .. even throughout your life.. and as the scriptures teach us .. even add your adversities, trials, sufferings and sorrows that have ended up giving you growth and blessings... ..

That bring love and laughter and cheer…
                                                                   In my family….
(Key change)
Vs. 2: How I thank Thee, God, for guiding my life each day…
For being my light when the darkness of night has engulfed me on my way…
For taking my hand and walking beside me when…the storms of life descend…upon my soul…
Trying so hard to pull me away from Thee…
Dear God, hold me close I plea,… don’t leave me alone…

For Thy beloved Son who set me free…..

Here are the words to a Christmas Song that I wrote  about Mother Mary and baby Jesus just following having one of my own baby boys soon after Christmas:    NO ORDINARY BABE  .... by NolaMae VanWagenen (c)

I caress my newborn within my arms and lovingly gaze on his Baby charms…
His skin so soft and His hair so fine…..
His sweet wee spirit showers me with sunshine…..
What a priceless gift from God above….
Filled with joy and endless love….
----------------------------------------------
Then my thoughts drift back on that wondrous day…
Having just had Christmas pass my way…..
I dwell upon the young mother Mary….
Within her womb the Son of God she carried….
Enduring a journey so tiring and long…
Her body was weakened and not very strong….
They went to the city going door to door…
But no room was found there .. Not even a floor…
At last in lowly manger with beast and clean hay …
The wee little baby would find His way….
Into the arms of his sweet mother dear…
Glory to God!!! The Messiah was here!!!
Now… this was no ordinary earthly babe….
He was chosen before time our souls to save…
He was not born to a worldly queen…
To a palace of riches with worldly things…
But was born of God… a Heavenly Prince…
No greater child has touched the world since!!!!
Now Mary new all that the prophets foretold…
Of all that His life was to give and to hold…
But for now she would gaze on His baby charms…
And lovingly caress Him in her arms…
His skin so soft and His hair so fine…
His sweet wee spirit.. Showered her with sunshine!!!
What a priceless gift from God above…
Filled with joy and endless love……
Asleep in the care of His sweet mother dear…
Glory to God!!!  The Messiah was here!!!!

IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR CHRISTMAS CHRIST CENTERED AND REMEMBER THAT "JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON"..... Let your yard decorations be Christ oriented and let your family and neighbor know why you celebrate Christmas ... Because of Christ.. Not Santa...
